Performer musi się przemieszczać. Performer nie spakuje swojego dzieła w skrzynię i nie wyśle do odbiorcy. Musi stawić się w wyznaczonym miejscu i oswoić przestrzeń. Performer jest więc ciągle w drodze – od punktu A do punktu B, często przez krytyczne punkty XYZ. Performer ze swoimi rekwizytami, wyznacza w zastanej przestrzeni nowe miejsce – ze zmienioną już funkcją, zweryfikowaną skalą, silnie nasycone emocjami, nowymi znaczeniami i określeniami. W każdej lokalizacji, w każdym performera działaniu, przywołuje fizyczne i często metafizyczne tło sytuacji. Performer swoją obecnością definiuje obszar na nowo. Performer musi się przemieszczać, pozostawiając po sobie jedynie ślad, by móc z nowym doświadczeniem udać się w kolejny punkt. Zaczyna od nowa, próbując powoływać i przekształcać miejsca oraz przestrzenie w innej lokalizacji -nie spakuje bowiem swojego dzieła i nie weźmie ze sobą…
Kluczem do tegorocznego festiwalu Present Performance są artyści, których trudno zlokalizować. Przemieszczają się razem ze swoimi działaniami tak często, że nie sposób ich przypisać do jednego miejsca. Pochodzą, żyją i pracują z różnych, często oddalonych od siebie lokalizacji. Utożsamiają się i pracują z „Tu i Teraz”. Park w Brzeźnie wydaje się dla Artystów miejscem idealnym – nie do końca oswojonym, z licznymi dzikimi lub zapomnianymi zaułkami i bardzo turystycznym traktem, kojarzącym się mimo wszystko z szumem morza i odpoczynkiem. To tutaj Artyści na moment zatrzymają się, by odnaleźć miejsce dla sztuki.
The performer has to be always on the move. The performer will not pack his work and ship it to the receiver. They need to arrive in an agreed venue and domesticate the space. The performer is therefore always on their way – from point A to point B, often via critical points XYX. The performer with their props establishes a new site in a given space – with an already changed function, verified scale, heavily saturated with emotions, new meanings and definitions. In each location, in each activity of the performer, a new physical and often metaphysical background of the situation is evoked. The presence of the performer defines the place anew. The performer has to be always on the move, merely leaving a trace behind, in order to be able to reach another place with their experience. The performer starts anew, attempting to establish and modify places and spaces in a different location – for they cannot just pack their work and take it with them…
The key to this year’s Present Performance festival are artists who are difficult to locate. So often are they on the move alongside their activities that it becomes impossible to identify them with a single place. They come from, live and work in different, often distant locations. They identify and work with 'Here and Now’. The park in Brzeźno seems an ideal place for the Artists – not entirely tamed, with an abundance of wild or forgotten nooks and crannies and a very touristy route, which nevertheless brings to mind the murmur of the sea and relaxation. It is here that the Artists will stop for a moment to find a place for their art.
